Welcome to Minecraft Mod Worlds

Well howdy there, Coders and Parents! As 2025 comes rolling in, with it has come an absolutely fantastic new aspect of the Code Zone that we’re thrilled to tell you all about; our new years resolution has been to become positively, absolutely, 1000% cooler, and with this new feature, I think we’re going to achieve it!

And that’s because we’re making some brilliant changes to our old ‘Minecraft Mod Club’ service – or as it’s known now, MINECRAFT MOD WORLDS! I know, even the name is exciting. But fear not, friends, it’s not just the name that’s changing. As the name might suggest, our minecraft features have expanded beyond just clubs, into entire worlds, packed with minecraft goodies and challenges and coding. Trust me – this is beyond a simple upgrade; it’s ten times better!

There’s a lot to touch on, but there’s one extra special thing to mention before we go over how it all works. And that’s how you get access to our new Minecraft Mod Worlds.

We’re beyond happy to announce that access to Minecraft Mod Worlds comes ENTIRELY included with your current Code Zone subscription – of ANY kind! That’s right, it’s basically free Minecraft on top of everything else – talk about a bargain! And so, lovely coders, when you log onto The Code Zone next, you’ll have access to the Mod Worlds with no extra requirements, and you can jump straight in.

But wait – I’m getting a telepathic message from The Code Zone HQ… no… surely not… can it truly be?! For all you Parents of our members, I have even more awesome news… it turns out that you guys ALSO get a free ‘Companion Account’ that lets you play alongside your child in our worlds!

If you’ve ever watched them over their shoulder and secretly wished it was you planting TNT by their side – now is your chance to join in, and maybe even learn some coding too!

But that’s enough about how awesomely easy to access Minecraft Mod Worlds is. That’s only a fraction of the reason why it’s so brilliant. Of course I could write for hours all the details, but we’ll be doing some deeper dives into the mechanics in future posts on our socials (keep an eye out for them!) – and so we’ll just touch on what the main features are, shall we?

The way our new Minecraft Mod Worlds works is simple – when you want to get started, you can download our custom Launcher, which when downloaded can be run to give you an extra special version of Minecraft: Education Edition, designed specifically for Code Zone members.

Once you’ve logged on and loaded up, you’ll see our custom menu screen, and you can select a ‘Mod World’ to play – either one of our pre-built worlds (made by our brilliantly creative mentors themselves) or of course, make your own. Inside those Worlds, you’ll have the chance to use The Code Zone’s newest invention (drumroll please) –

THE CODE PHONE!

The Code Phone is a super-intelligent device we’ve coded into Minecraft that will be present in all of your worlds, and essentially gives you access to a huge list of all sorts of coding challenges, that when completed make awesome mods to your world.

We’ll have more info soon on all the different things you can do with this masterpiece, but for now it’ll suffice to say that it’s very, very handy!

But what’s more, the Code Phone isn’t the only thing we’ve made of course – remember those custom worlds I mentioned? Well, every member will get access to five of these mentor-made Mod Worlds every year, and each one is packed full of fun – they’ll each have a different theme, a different storyline to follow, and a bunch of interactive NPCs you can talk with who can give you assistance and coding challenges – all based on our mentor’s avatars, of course.

If you’ve ever dreamed of asking a robot version of our mentors how to code in Minecraft (haven’t we all?), then you might be the luckiest person around! All of these features combine to make a brilliant experience that balances playing and coding perfectly – which is our specialty here at The Code Zone.

Have as much fun as you’d like in your own personal worlds, but definitely don’t forget to check out the ones we’ll be making for you!
