SUPPORTING EVERY LEARNER

We're proud to be the go-to choice for families with neurodivergent children. Our mentors are trained to create an inclusive, patient environment where children with ADHD, autism, anxiety, or diverse learning needs truly thrive.

Safe Space

A SAFE SPACE TO BE YOURSELF

Parents tell us: "My child finally feels accepted." For shy, anxious, or neurodivergent children who struggle with traditional clubs, The Code Zone is different.

Patient Mentors

PATIENT, KIND & CALM

Our mentors understand children's needs. They create a calm, supportive atmosphere where every child feels comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

Building Confidence

BUILDING CONFIDENCE

Beyond coding skills, we build confidence. Children who were hesitant become proud creators, sharing their games and believing in their abilities.

"The Code Zone has exceeded my expectations in understanding the needs of neurodivergent children. My son finally feels accepted and can be himself."

FAQ

No, they won't get bored. We encourage more advanced coders to 'hack' our challenges. We want them to create something new that matters to them and stretches their creativity and coding abilities.
Yes, your child's safety is of paramount importance to us and we want to build a safe online community for young people. All of our mentors have enhanced DBS checks and our platform is fully secure with enhanced security features. All lobby chats and social sharing between participants is moderated by our mentors.

Yes, our challenges are designed to be scalable for all skill levels and abilities. If your child is new to coding - they can complete our 'Skill of Scratch' mini-series course before tackling the main challenges. Each challenge starts with a video intro from a Zone Leader to set the scene, and challenge cards also give more support.

The Code Zone Online platform also has tutorials and mini-series guides and help blocks with tips to help users if they get stuck. And for Online + Community customers have live Zone Leader support on hand for a more personal tutorial style of session.
Game Dev Club sessions are 1 hour long and occur once a week. Before committing, you can try out one of our free taster sessions to see if our clubs are right for you! Taster sessions include an additional 15 minute introduction so that your child can meet their mentor on a 1-to-1 basis before any other members join.
Our mentors support our members in a variety of different ways. Clubs have a limit of 6 members to a session which means that every child has the opportunity to ask questions, show off their games, and develop lifelong coding skills. Members continue to have access to our games outside of their regular club time and can message their mentor via the chat box so they can continue to access support whenever coding inspiration strikes!
